The funny thing is, haha, you're going to love this, I have to be halfway done by tomorrow with my book, and I haven't started. I have to do this thing for my school where I have to read a fantasy book and then write a report about. Now a few years ago I had read book 2, Tombs of Atuan for a Children's Literature course. Beginning with 1968's A Wizard of Earthsea, readers met the goat herder Ged, who lives on one of a kingdom of islands known as Earthsea, as he trains to become a practitioner of magic. "A Wizard of Earthsea," first published in 1968, is the first of a series of books written by Le Guin and is set in the fantasy world archipelago of Earthsea depicting the adventures of a budding young wizard named Ged. And I 'm writing when I should be reading! The Secret Headquarters of Patrick, consisting of a series of awesome stuff Wizard! A Wizard of Earthsea is book 1 in the Earthsea Cycle (book 1 of 5). A Wizard of Earthsea was a nice break from my more serious reading of late, and I definitely plan to read further into the series. With millions of copies sold, the "Earthsea series" is considered a landmark achievement in twentieth century fantasy writing. But it wasn't until I found Ursula K. Le Guin's series, magic is not something to be trifled with lightly. LeGuin The Wizard of Earthsea series has quite a reputation amongst fantasy readers, yet I'd never heard of it until a few years ago. It tells of how Ged goes from a boy to a powerful wizard. LeGuin's Earthsea series, as an adult, that I felt I found a children's series that reflected my path to recovery.
